NowSpace was conceived by Astrelle Johnquest as a multidisciplinary pop-up installation in 2011. The project has since evolved into an artist-run project space, residency and retail shop run out of Johnquest’s studio in the northeast Los Angeles neighborhood of El Sereno.  NowSpace supports artists, makers, curators, and performers by providing a space to realize new and experimental projects.

The front retail space, NowShop, is an experimental ever-evolving and often collaborative shop stocked with found vintage objects, furniture, and artist made goods.
