NowSpace is pleased to present Eliza Fernand (Grand Rapids, MI) as our current artist in residence.  Through the duration of her 2-week residency Fernand will be experimenting with form, material, and weather to construct a miniature sculpture park from discarded materials in our back courtyard. 
 

Fernand is a sculptor and muralist who works primarily with time, space, fabric, and video. She has been a resident artist in ten states, France, and Canada, and took her Quilt Stories project on a cross-country tour. Her performance, installation, sculpture, and videos have been exhibited nationally in group and solo exhibitions since 2004. Fernand also makes quilts under the moniker, Bright Shroud.
